Trampled Under Foot Badlands

Growing up in Kansas City, a town legendary for its blues scene, siblings Danielle Schnebelen, Nick Schnebelen, and Kris Schnebelen were steeped in the blues from an early age. It's no surprise, then, that they have risen to prominence as one of the most talked-about blues bands. Their upbringing has undoubtedly played a significant role in shaping their musical talents.

For their album Badlands, the band returned to producer Tony Braunagel's Ultra tone Studios in California. Braunagel, the drummer for the Phantom Blues Band, not only produced the album but also contributed percussion. Additionally, he brought in renowned keyboardist Mike Finnigan to handle the keys. Johnny Lee Schell, who also worked on the album, lent his skills on acoustic guitar for one of the tracks, while Lisa Swedelund provided additional backing vocals. The final mixing was done by John Porter at Independent Street Studios in New Orleans.

The collaboration with Braunagel, Finnigan, Schell, and Swedelund added another layer of depth and richness to the band's sound, resulting in a compelling and dynamic album. The influence of their upbringing in Kansas City is evident in the authenticity of their blues music, and the contributions of the additional musicians have helped to elevate the album to even greater heights. With Badlands, Trampled Under Foot has solidified their place as one of the most exciting and talented blues bands on the scene today.
